2022-10-03The Independent Anti-Doping Review Panel has reached a verdict in the case of basketball player Andra Gabalyte. For taking banned medicines, A. Gabalyte has been disqualified for 4 years.
Klaipėda Neptunas playing coach A. Gabalytė was tested in March this year during a competition in Latvia. The substance found in the athlete’s system was meldonium, a banned substance that has been included in the list of Prohibited Substances and Prohibited Methods since 2016.
Since 5 April this year, Ms Gabalytė has been provisionally suspended from competitions and other sporting activities, both as an athlete and as a coach.
