Invitation to participate in the Sports Match-fixing Study
2026-02-05„AntiDop: Training Missions on Nutritional Supplements for Athletes Support Personnel to Support Anti-Doping is an international project that aims to strengthen the sporting community by providing athletes“ support personnel with the knowledge, tools and training they need to avoid unintentional doping violations. The Lithuanian Anti-Doping Agency is also involved in this project and contributes to this mission.
„The AntiDop project aims to develop an innovative e-learning platform for athletes“ support staff (doctors, coaches and athletes' parents and others who help). Innovative training will be developed using the latest research and advanced methodologies.
Launched last year, the project will focus on a sensitive topic in sport - unintentional doping offences and the lack of knowledge about sports nutrition. „AntiDop aims to create a space for athlete support staff to become more competent on important issues related to a wide range of topics.
The training will aim to provide more information on food supplements, medicines, nutrition and anti-doping rules. „The AntiDop strategy is not directed against the use of supplements: on the contrary, it aims to educate about their proper, scientifically sound and responsible use.
The Lithuanian Anti-Doping Agency is participating in this project together with colleagues from six countries with different competences. „Democritus University of Thrace, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Leipzig University, The European Federation of the Associations of Dietitians, Sport Coaching Europe, the Sports Medicine Association of Serbia and the International Hellenic University are also sharing their expertise in the AntiDop project.
This will not be the first project on dietary supplements for the Lithuanian Anti-Doping Agency, which last year carried out a UNESCO-supported project to raise awareness of the topic and potential problems of supplement use. We hope that this project will be another strong step forward in increasing the reach of knowledge and helping athletes make the right choices.
This project is funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ SPORT funding programme (project no. 101184932).
