Donatas Žaldokas is disqualified for 4 years for an anti-doping rule violation.

On 25 January 2017, the Lithuanian Canoe and Kayak Rowing Federation informed the Lithuanian Anti-Doping Agency that kayaker Donatas Žaldokas has been disqualified for 4 years due to the presence of the banned substance GW 1516 and GW1516 sulphone on the Prohibited List (TAR, 21 January 2016, No 1332). This substance is classified under S4. hormones and metabolic modulators. This substance is prohibited in competition. The Prohibited Substance was detected in the Athlete's doping sample taken by the Lithuanian Anti-Doping Agency on 26 June 2016 during the Competition. The sanction was imposed in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code 2015 and the Lithuanian Anti-Doping Rules in force at the time of the violation. The period of Ineligibility shall start from the date of the Doping Sample collection.
