2019-10-152019 m. 16 May 2019 The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Management Board has decided to amend Article 7(4) of the World Anti-Doping Code to allow WADA-accredited laboratories to report Atypical Findings in Samples (ATF). Chemical substance Clenbuterol.
The purpose of the amendment to Article 7.4 of the Code, which will enter into force on 1 June 2019, is to provide an interim solution until the 2021 Code and the forthcoming International Standard on Performance Management (ISRM) enter into force. Anti-Doping Agencies will have the option to investigate when laboratories detect low levels of Prohibited Substances known to be detectable as ATF.
This will ensure that cases of meat contamination with Clenbuterol are dealt with fairly for athletes.
