Different institutions are focusing on the fight against problems with sports integrity, but sports organisations are the entities that first determine whether competitions have been manipulated,\u201c states the Director of the Lithuanian Anti-Doping Agency, R\u016bta Banyt\u0117.<br>The rules for combating the manipulation of top-level competitions shall enshrine the most basic requirements for sports organisations, which form the value and procedural basis for recognising and investigating cases of possible manipulation: a prohibition on the dissemination of internal information shall be enshrined; procedures for investigating violations of cases of manipulation of top-level sports competitions shall be enshrined and, where necessary, sanctions for the manipulation of top-level sports competitions shall be established. The minimum requirement for sports organisations is to carry out educational or preventive activities and to publicise information on combating manipulation (e.g. by publicising the website of the Lithuanian Anti-Doping Agency, www.antidopingas.lt).<br>The approved procedure for evaluating compliance with the rules sets out how the readiness of sports organisations to implement anti-manipulation measures will be assessed. The assessment will be carried out by employees of the Lithuanian Anti-Doping Agency.
